Hello Church! A football team is made up of different people, different positions, and different roles—but they come together around one goal. The church is no different. Hello Church! Who Is Your One? Is there someone in your life who has walked away from their faith? Someone you love who feels far from God? If so, you know how deeply it can break your heart. This Sunday, we’re looking at one of Jesus’ most powerful stories, the Prodigal Son, and discovering what it reveals about God’s unconditional love for us. We’ll be reminded that no one is ever too far from God, and we’ll be challenged to consider who God may be calling us to reach out to. Come ready to be reminded of God’s heart for the lost and your part in reaching them. ❤️ FOOD PANTRY DISTRIBUTION – THIS SATURDAY! 📅 Saturday, September 19 ⏰ Volunteers: 7:30 AM–11:30 AM 🥫 Distribution: 9:00–11:00 AM Have you been looking for a way to make a difference in the lives of others? This Saturday is a great opportunity to serve! Whether you’ve served before or it’s your first time, we’d love to have you join us. No experience is necessary—just a willing heart and a desire to serve. Together, we can share hope, meet practical needs, and be the hands and feet of Jesus in our community. What to Expect: Arrive at 7:30 AM to help prepare for distribution. Pantry distribution is 9:00–11:00 AM. We’ll be working outdoors, so please dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes. 🙌 I GET TO LEAD RALLY You are a huge part of what God is doing here! As we prepare to launch two services on October 4, we’re bringing all of our volunteers together for our I Get to Lead Rally! 📅 Sunday, September 20 ⏰ 11:15 AM – Immediately Following Service 📍 Generations Church Sanctuary This will be a time to rally together, celebrate what God is doing, and prepare for this next season of ministry. We’ll talk through the pillars of serving, expectations, and important information as we get ready to make the move to two services. Hello Church, This Sunday is Serve Sunday—a special opportunity to discover how God can use each of us to make a difference! Whether you’re looking for a place to serve, curious about a new ministry, or simply want to learn more about the opportunities available at Generations, we invite you to come explore and find a place to get connected. We’ll also continue our Daniel: Unshaken series as we journey through Daniel 1–6. Life doesn’t always go according to plan. Unexpected changes, difficult circumstances, and uncertain seasons can leave us feeling shaken. But Daniel’s story reminds us that when our lives are rooted in God, we can remain faithful and steady—no matter what is happening around us. Together, we’ll discover what it looks like to trust God when the future is uncertain, stand firm when we’re pressured to compromise, and remain faithful in every season. This school year, our goal is to provide 12 students with a caring, consistent mentor, and we are still looking for 6 more volunteers to help us make that possible! Reading is foundational to a child’s future success. Research shows that students who are not reading proficiently by fourth grade are four times more likely to drop out of high school. For many children, the difference isn’t ability—it’s having someone who consistently shows up to encourage them, believe in them, and help them grow. That someone could be you. As a Whiz Kids Mentor/Tutor, you’ll meet with the same student each week, helping strengthen their reading skills while building a meaningful relationship that reminds them they are seen, valued, and capable. Program Dates: September 17, 2026 – April 1, 2027 Thursdays | 3:45–6:00 PM No teaching experience is necessary. Training, curriculum, and weekly supplies are all provided. If you can read, you can tutor! All you need is a willing heart and a commitment to show up consistently. One afternoon a week. One student. One relationship that can make a lasting difference. Unexpected changes, difficult circumstances, and uncertain seasons can leave us feeling shaken. But Daniel’s story reminds us that when our lives are rooted in God, we can remain faithful and steady no matter what is happening around us. As we continue journeying through Daniel 1–6, we’ll discover what it looks like to trust God when the future is uncertain, stand firm when we’re pressured to compromise, and remain faithful through every season. You don’t have to have an unshaken life to have an unshaken faith. We can’t wait to worship with you this Sunday! Whether Generations Church has been home for years, you haven’t joined us in a while, or you’re thinking about visiting for the first time, we would love to welcome you at 10:00 AM as we begin our new series, Daniel: Unshaken. August 9, 2027 Weekend Update This is your one-stop spot for everything happening in our church family. From kids to adults, small groups to special events, here's how you can get connected over the next seven days. Hello Church, What does it truly mean to follow Jesus? Following Jesus isn't simply about believing the right things—it's about allowing Him to shape the way we think, love, serve, and live each day. As we spend time with Him, He transforms us from the inside out, helping us reflect His heart in our relationships, our choices, and the way we love others. The Christian life isn't about striving to change ourselves; it's about surrendering to the One who changes us. Upcoming Events & Opportunities 🎉 Student Ministry Sundays | 5:30–7:00 PM | At the Church For Students in 6th–12th Grade For Students in 6th–12th Grade Students are invited to join us each Sunday evening for games, snacks, worship, biblical teaching, and meaningful friendships. Student Ministry is a place where teens can grow in their faith, build authentic relationships, and discover what it means to follow Jesus in their everyday lives. Outreach Opportunities Through the GROW Network 📚 Become a Whiz Kids Mentor/Tutor Research shows that students who are not reading proficiently by fourth grade are four times more likely to drop out of high school. Once children learn to read, they begin reading to learn. Many of these students don't lack intelligence—they simply lack consistent support and positive role models. You can make a lasting difference in the life of a child. Whiz Kids volunteers meet with the same student each week during the school year to build reading skills while developing a caring, encouraging relationship. Program Dates: September 17, 2026 – April 1, 2027 Thursdays | 3:45–6:00 PM Training, curriculum, and weekly supplies are provided. If you can read, you can be a tutor—you simply need a willing heart and a commitment to show up.
