10/16/26 Weekend Update
Hello Church! 🏈 In the Huddle: One Church. One Team. One Mission. Every great team has players with different strengths, gifts, and responsibilities, but what makes them successful is their commitment to working together toward a common goal. In our new sermon series, In the Huddle, we're diving into 1 Corinthians to discover what it means to live in unity, encourage one another, and use the gifts God has given us to make a difference. As we continue settling into our new season of two Sunday services, we're reminded that the church is more than a gathering time or a building. We are one family, united in Christ and called to serve His purpose together! No matter which service you attend, you have an important place on this team! Let's continue growing in faith, building meaningful relationships, and sharing the love of Jesus with our community. We're better together, and there's a place for YOU in the huddle! 🥫 Distribution: 9:00–11:00 AM Have you been looking for a way to make a difference in the lives of others? This Saturday is a great opportunity to serve! Whether you’ve served before or it’s your first time, we’d love to have you join us. No experience is necessary—just a willing heart and a desire to serve. Together, we can share hope, meet practical needs, and be the hands and feet of Jesus in our community. What to Expect: Arrive at 7:30 AM to help prepare for distribution. Pantry distribution is 9:00–11:00 AM. We’ll be working outdoors, so please dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes. 🎃 Community Trunk or Treat – Beechgrove Elementary Saturday, October 17, 2026 | 2:00–4:00 PM
📍 Beechgrove Elementary School Generations Church has been invited to participate in Beechgrove Elementary's Community Trunk or Treat, and we would love for YOU to be part of it! This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with families in our community, bring smiles to children's faces, and share the love of Jesus in a fun and meaningful way! How Can You Help? We're looking for individuals and families willing to decorate their vehicle trunks and hand out candy or other treats to children attending the event. New Series - “In the Huddle: Gather, Grow, Go”
Have you ever noticed how easy it is to be around people without actually being connected to them? We can sit in the same room, attend the same church, sing the same songs, and still live as if we are on our own. But that’s not the picture Jesus gives us of His church. The church was never meant to be a crowd of individuals simply showing up on Sunday. We are a body. We are a family. We are a team. In our new sermon series, “In the Huddle,” we’ll walk through 1 Corinthians and discover what it looks like to be the church together. Paul writes to a church that was gifted, growing, and full of potential, but also struggling with division, preferences, pride, and disagreements about what it meant to follow Jesus. Sound familiar? Through 1 Corinthians, we’ll discover what it means to pursue unity, understand our place in the body of Christ, love one another well, put others before ourselves, and live on mission together. And as we step into a new season as one church with two services, this message is especially important for us. Two services don’t make two churches. We are still one body, united around one Jesus and one mission. A football team doesn’t win because everyone plays the same position. It wins when different people know their role, trust one another, and work toward the same goal. The same is true for the church. Over the next six weeks, we’ll learn what it means to Gather Together. Grow Together. Go Together. Join us this Sunday at 9am or 10:30am as we begin “In the Huddle.” Let’s discover what it looks like to be more than people who attend the same church, let’s become a church that follows Jesus, serves one another, and lives on mission together.

As we step into this new season of two services, this series is a reminder that two gatherings don’t make two churches. We are one church, one team, and one mission. Weekend Update 9/18/26
Hello Church! Who Is Your One? Is there someone in your life who has walked away from their faith? Someone you love who feels far from God? If so, you know how deeply it can break your heart. This Sunday, we’re looking at one of Jesus’ most powerful stories, the Prodigal Son, and discovering what it reveals about God’s unconditional love for us. We’ll be reminded that no one is ever too far from God, and we’ll be challenged to consider who God may be calling us to reach out to.
